Hello

My name is Alexandra Stratton and I am a NY based Art Educator. Currently I am teaching grades 3-5 with K-6 Experience. I enjoy teaching a wide range of media to students of all ages.

As an Art Educator, my philosophy centers on fostering creativity and self-expression in every student. I believe that art is not just about technique, but about exploring ideas and emotions. My goal is to cultivate a supportive and inspiring environment where students feel safe to experiment and develop their unique artistic voices. Through hands-on projects and encouraging feedback, I aim to cultivate a lifelong appreciation for the Arts in my students.

My Story

I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher. My journey to becoming an art teacher began with my undergraduate studies in Studio Art at Cazenovia College. I furthered my passion by earning M.S.Ed in Art Education from Nazareth University. I have been teaching ever since! I consider myself a digital artist and painter.
